About the role:
In this role you’ll be supervising a small team of accountants, making it the perfect role for those wanting to take a step towards management. If you are a Senior Accountant in the banking/financial services industry wanting to make a move or a Big 4 Audit Manager with financial services experience wanting to move into commercial, we want to hear from you. The deliverables of the team are: Ensuring month end close is completed accurately and on time, ensure all management reports are produced accurately and in a timely manner, completion of all regulatory requirements, treasury and banking, and any other services required of the accounting team.
Duties:
- Preparing reporting packs including financial analysis and regulatory reports.
- Managing month-end processes. This includes overseeing reconciliations, schedules, trial balances, and essential elements for accurate financial reporting and successful audit completion.
- Leading the financial close process, collaborating closely with other finance teams, including offshore hubs while maintaining strong partnership with key finance stakeholders.
- Providing financial support for various business operations, projects and initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
- CA/CPA Qualified.
- Experience with IFRS reporting required.
- At least 5+ years of finance experience preferably in banking or financial services industry.
- Experienced in supervising others preferred.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with proven ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Ability to understand new concepts and apply them efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and drive change.
