Our client is an award-winning New Zealand-wide cleaning franchise business serving more than 1800 clients, 140 franchise owners, and with franchises running in all major centres including Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
About the role:
Your role as will be to make sure franchisee owners and their staff are trained to be expert commercial cleaners as per the training guidelines of the business. This is a nationwide role so some travel is required. You must be organized as you will need to plan training days and manage your time well. You need to come from a cleaning background and know the ins and outs of cleaning different surfaces using various cleaning products, tools and techniques. This will suit an ambitious person with a cleaning background who is keen to make a first step into corporate management or someone wanting to become a professional trainer.
Duties
- Design, implement and deliver comprehensive training programs for all levels of employees, including franchisees and their staff, focusing on Commercial Cleaning methodologies and practices.
- Conduct training needs analysis, including gap analysis, to identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify training needs across the organization, including franchisees, through regular assessments and feedback.
- Produce monthly training progress reports to the Management/Board.
- Ensure all documentation for training, induction and training reports are completed, recorded and up to date.
- A minimum of 5 years of industry work experience, including roles as a supervisor or team leader, is required.
- Hands-on experience in special works such as carpet cleaning, strip & seal, and scrubbing is essential.
- Flexibility to travel across New Zealand, including overnight stays and weekend work, is required.
- The ability to work non-standard hours, including shifts outside the conventional 8-to-5 schedule, weekends, and public holidays, is necessary.
- Strong work ethics and physical fitness to meet the demanding nature of the job are essential.
- A current and clean New Zealand driver’s licence is required.
