The organisation and role:
Our client is in the HVAC solutions sector.
In your role as Engineering Product Manager, you will be accountable for sales, product, and sourcing of HVAC solutions.
You will utilise your previous product sourcing experience and collaborate with Consultants, Designers, Trades people, Contractors and Project teams across large projects, from inception to installation.

About you:
With 5-10 years previous HVAC experience across both domestic and commercial projects in New Zealand or Australia, you will have a strong understanding of how HVAC mechanical systems work.

In this role you will utilise your technical sales experience and work closely with the Sales team and General Manager on margin and market viability.

You will be a strong communicator with a high standard of written and spoken English and the initiative to ask questions.

Technically you will have knowledge of AHU, Fancoils, Hat Recovery Units or Fans and have experience with design software and MS Suite.

Accountabilities:
  • Working with suppliers on sourcing new and innovative HVAC components
  • Adhering to New Zealand and Australian codes of compliance
  • Preparing sales budgets and pricing structures
  • Coordinating product launches with the marketing, sales and procurement teams
  • Technical training of sales staff
  • Attending trade shows locally and internationally
To be successful in this role you will need the following experience:
  • 5-10 years HVAC experience in New Zealand or Australia
  • Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical or Mechatronics
  • Technical knowledge of AHU, Fancoils, Heat Recovery Units or Fans
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previously worked with large project sales cycles
  • Ability to collaborate with internal sales teams
  • Ability to travel throughout New Zealand and overseas
