My client is currently looking for an experienced payroll contractor for a minimum three-month contract, based in their South Auckland offices.
This hands-on payroll position will have you completing end to end payroll for the New Zealand business for approximately 250 employees. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll legislation in NZ as well as the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios.
You must have experience running an end-to-end process, managing queries, understanding of the holidays act and Kiwisaver legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage the end-to-end payroll for all employees, including waged and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with NZ Payroll legislation and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and systems.
- Timesheets, reimbursements, leave forms etc accurately loaded and to payroll deadlines.
- Termination pays, back pays and special pays are produced as required within the agreed timeframes.
- Pay runs and exception reports checked and errors rectified before the payroll is cleared for processing.
- Payroll records filed and retained as per company policy, safely and securely.
- Respond to queries from staff and managers on all payroll matters.
