The Company:
A leading manufacturer committed to delivering high-quality products and services to their customers are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join their dynamic team.
The Role:
Responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll function for the business. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll systems ensuring compliance with NZ Payroll legislation as well as the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios. You must have extensive hands-on experience processing a high volume payroll, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage the end-to-end payroll for all employees, including waged and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with NZ Payroll legislation and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and systems.
- Process and review payroll transactions, including waged, salaried, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues promptly.
- Provide guidance and training to junior payroll staff as needed.
In order to be successful, you will have:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in payroll management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems (eg PayGlobal, Chris 21 etc)
- In-depth understanding of NZ payroll regulations and tax implications
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex payroll issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
