- Technical Security Specialist
- Hamilton based client – 2 to 3 days in office
- Permanent role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Security Specialist to join our client’s team, focusing on developing information security risk assessments and action plan in accordance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
You will be working in a small but very important team of three including you. About 50% of this role will be consulting with software developers to review their solutions in alignment with best practices and policies. Helping them to problem solve and guide them to solutions will be a very important part of your role.
The other half will be around the infrastructure and ensuring you have a good handle on the threat landscape. They are cloud based so having an good understanding of serverless infrastructure will be important. It would be great if you have an OSCP and a networking background as you will also be working heavily with firewall approvals and reviews.
This is a hybrid role, with some on-call work once every three weeks which can be done from the comfort of your own home. 2 Days in office.
Expertise & Experience:
- Hands on technically sound, strong experience in ICT industry; Information Security Advisory or consulting appraising, defining and implementing related information security controls
- Very strong in the reviews, solutions and stakeholder management
- Strong at Vulnerability management
- Strong SecOps background
- Knowledge of networking, strong at firewalls and reviews.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or related experience
Your Personal Strengths:
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel as required by the role.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
