Reporting to the National People & Safety Manager, this will suit a person who is a senior coordinator ready for the next step and can grow with the role or an experienced Advisor. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the National People & Safety Manager to develop strategic plans and actions.
- Improvement plans targeting best practice
- Work collaboratively with the Site Team Managers, Leaders and workers to implement and maintain safety procedures
- Provide advice to Site Management
- Setting up consultive mechanisms to identify and manage hazards and risks.
- Ensure inductions and training are implemented
- Conduct regular audits, inspections
- End to end management of incident reporting and investigations
- Lead toolbox talks
- Coordinate injury management and return to work program
- Liaise with ACC on claims
- Relevant Diploma/Tertiary qualification
- Competent level of WHSE knowledge
- Minimum 3-5 years in an WHSE position
- Experience implementing a and managing an WHSE system
- Experience with ACC and return to work processes
- Strong planning. organisational and communication skills
- Strong risk management skills
