One of the larger PQS firms have been relatively unaffected through 2024 with a steady workflow and confidence building for more projected work. Key project areas are airports, hospitals, rail, water, roading and major commercial projects. They are at the forefront of professional quantity surveying and offer the best in structured career advancement. As a QS you will get the opportunity to work across diverse commercial and infrastructure projects. Due to increase in workload, they are looking to bolster their team with a high performing Senior QS or a strong Intermediate/Senior QS.
You will need to be a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 - 7 years of PQS experience and at least the last 3 years spent in NZ within a reputable professional consultancy spanning vertical and/or horizontal construction. You are fully conversant with estimating software such as Cost X.
You will need to be able to manage client projects - including producing quality cost estimates possessing excellent client liaison skills. Other skill areas include procurement, feasibility studies, tender evaluation, scheduling, managing risk and defining costs.
In return for your efforts, a competitive market salary is on offer of between $140K and $160K, plus additional benefits and ongoing training.
