• Senior Test Engineer

• Location: Auckland CBD (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions through effective test automation and quality assurance practices.

You will play a key role in functional, regression, integration, and automation testing.

This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple projects and locations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality software standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for target systems, APIs, and integrated applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and automation testing.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of solutions integrating with various applications, databases, and third-party systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Perform API testing for SOAP and RESTful services.
• Identify opportunities for automation based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Work closely with vendors for issue resolution and provide feedback to IT management on recurring system-wide problems.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong functional testing experience.
• Knowledge of automation testing and experience implementing automation strategies.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET.
• Experience with SQL for data validation.
• API testing experience.
• Integration testing experience (e.g., verifying compliance of transactional flows).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work at pace, manage multiple tasks effectively, and be well-organized.
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and confident in raising concerns when necessary.

Desirable:

• Exposure to automation frameworks (Playwright is currently being explored, but open to different tools).
• Experience in financial services, risk & compliance, or AML projects is a plus but not essential.
