Key responsibilities include:
  • Accounts payable, inputting supplier and subcontractor invoices using Xero
  • Reconciliation of weekly temporary labour hire invoices
  • Preparing weekly and monthly payment batches
  • Setting up new suppliers on Xero
  • Accounts receivable, updating cash flow and receipting on Xero
  • Liaising with suppliers and quantity surveyors
  • Payroll fortnightly for salaried and wages permanent staff using Smart Payroll
  • Primary point of contact for IT requests from staff, liaising with external IT support
  • Collating financial reporting
  • Responding to enquiries
  • Maintaining existing documentation and assisting with developing new procedures
What skills and experience you will bring to the role:
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, receivable, payroll processing and administration
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Confident communicator who builds strong working relationships
  • Proven experience using Xero and knowledge of computerised payroll systems
  • An understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and New Zealand employment law
  • Ability to pick up new systems and processes
  • A positive “can do” attitude with a good sense of humour
