An exceptional software development company is on the hunt for an exceptional BA to work with some exceptional organisations in Government, the environment and transport.
The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our growing software development team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our technical team and clients, ensuring that our software solutions meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for software projects.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for the development team.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement in existing systems.
- Assist in testing and validation of software solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to communicate project updates and gather feedback.
- Maintain effective communication between business units, technical team, and management.
- Create and maintain documentation, including user stories, process flows, and requirements specifications.
- Support project managers in project planning and tracking progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, Kanban etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in creating process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, SharePoint, MS Project, M0365 - excel word ppt)) is a plus.
- Knowledge of database management and software testing techniques
- Bonus would be a reasonable understanding of development languages such as JAVA, C# etc
- Relevant certification is a plus.
