Our client is a leader in the financial services sector. A purpose led organisation with the focus on driving prosperity for New Zealand & New Zealanders.
The Manager Target Markets role is to develop and lead the implementation of growing the market share of existing sectors and also new target market sectors.

This is an exciting new role where you will work with driven internal stakeholders and industry bodies and organisations in the commercial sector to build out a new proposition.

Key to this role:
  • You will work closely with Business and Corporate teams to execute this market proposition.
  • You will work to deeply understand target markets, challenges, needs, opportunities, economic influences and other factors to provide leadership and insights
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders from government, bodies, private enterprise to enable partnerships and discussion.
  • Lead, coach and motivate a direct team
  • Participate and influence key strategy sessions across the organisation
  • Set up a Centre for Excellence for specific target markets where you will also drive a vertical/virtual team of representatives within the organisation
Your background:
  • Tertiary qualified across a business or similar degree
  • Ideally you will have gained financial business acumen from within the financial services sector
  • Relationship and Influencing experience
  • Strategic partnership or Business development experience from within the commercial sector
  • Industry sectors such as manufacturing, fintech, or another commercial area would be an advantage
  • Strong understanding of the importance of customer in all interactions and how this relates directly to profitability
  • Ability to influence
  • Strong communication and presentation capability
