The Role
Reporting to the GM for New Zealand the National Sales Manager role is a newly created role and is responsible for leading and managing the company’s sales team across all the regions in New Zealand.
A natural hunter you will be well connected to the sector, have strengths working with the team to drive strong sales activity. You are someone who fosters strong customer relationships and are connected in the market.
Key responsibilities for this role:
- Sales strategy and planning including working with the GM to set targets for the regional teams to align with national sales strategies
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support sales initiatives
- Identify regional opportunities in the offerings of the organisation
- Recruit, train and mentor the regional sales teams
- Drive team motivation and foster a high-performance sales culture
- Really understand the competitor market
- Sectors include transport, engineering, construction, forestry, agri, marine etc
- Previous Sales management experience
- Strong sales capability
- Previous experience in either heavy equipment, capital equipment, hydraulics or similar
- Financial management around forecasting and budgets
- Strong technology skills including MS office and Excel
- Strengths in both written & verbal communication
