Paramount Services, a leader in commercial cleaning across New Zealand, is expanding into lawn and garden care and they’re seeking a talented and experienced gardener to provide operational support for this new business arm. This exciting opportunity offers you the chance to shape the future of facility care in New Zealand while contributing to the growth of a well-established brand.

As the Senior Gardener, you will apply your knowledge and ability to cover every aspect of delivering a professional lawn and gardening service from pruning/trimming and fertilising to planting, irrigation or pest and disease management. You will connect with clients to understand their expectations and provide advice and suggestions, and will train fellow team members and franchise network, providing feedback and support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering professional lawn and gardening services, and ensuring tools are maintained and materials are stocked for clients
• Maintaining contact with clients and providing after visit reports
• Leading and mentoring franchise owners through sharing knowledge and providing both on-site training and workshops.
• Overseeing franchisee owners to ensure industry best practice and excellent outcomes.
• Meeting new and existing clients to provide service quotes
• Ensuring all service or project quotes are delivered on time and to a high standard

This is an exciting new opportunity for a seasoned gardener who likes to manage their day and own the outcomes of their work. This role will suit a team leader who is comfortable with a varied schedule of both hands-on work and client/team management. Paramount offer a competitive salary, company van (with fuel) and tools of the trade including phone and laptop.

You’ll bring to this role:

• Previous experience in gardening
• A relevant horticulture qualification (ideally)
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills – role requires proficiency in English
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule
• A desire to build others up to achieve excellent outcomes
• A strong work ethic and commitment to quality
