We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering and maintaining data infrastructure and pipelines to support efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval.

You will be tasked with creating data models and database schemas, developing ELT/ETL processes, optimizing data performance, ensuring data quality, security, and governance, and integrating third-party data sources and APIs.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer (6 years) with a focus on cloud data platforms, including building data models and pipelines.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and database management systems.
• Proficiency in various programming languages and data & analytics tools (Snowflake, Azure, dbt) is essential.
• Expertise in cloud-based data solutions and data engineering in the cloud.
• A strong understanding of data security, data governance, and data quality best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate clearly

You must be in New Zealand with the legal right to work.
